OUR HISTORY

WRIPAC was first established in 1979 and it consists of over thirty small, medium and large public agencies representing state and local governments, school districts, utility districts, and other public agencies in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Oregon. There is no membership fee and there is no fee to attend our meetings.


Our objectives are:

    • To develop and share personnel selection procedures.
    • To provide a forum for the review of professional and legal selection issues.
    • To assist member jurisdictions in maintaining professional personnel selection standards and in complying with legal requirements and guidelines.
    • To promote the principles of merit selection and equal employment opportunities.
    • To improve communication among member jurisdictions and with other regional assessment groups.

We endeavor to create a stimulating environment conducive to networking, sharing, and developing best assessment and testing practices that comply with legal requirements and result in maximizing organizational effectiveness.

We build innovative leaders by setting a good example within the organization and in the recruitment and assessment field, encouraging the professional growth and development of others and setting clear, challenging, attainable, and strategic goals.

We endeavor to create events and opportunities that embody an atmosphere of personal and professional growth, inclusiveness, a celebration of our profession, and our ongoing friendships.
