Becoming a Member...

Agency Representative
Your agency designates a representative to attend two consecutive WRIPAC meetings. The meeting dates and locations can be found on our Meetings and Trainings page. The meetings are free. Guest are always welcomed. You must stay for the business meeting on Friday in order for your attendance to count towards establishing membership.

Submit Letter of Interest
We will send you an invitation to request membership once you have attended two consecutive business meetings. (If you believe that you have attended two consecutive business meetings and do not receive an invitation, please contact the President-Elect.) Your agency then submits a letter to WRIPAC identifying the designated representative and committee and agreeing to the WRIPAC principles outlined in our bylaws.

Vote
At the next regular business meeting, your request is accepted and voted on by the current membership.

WRIPAC Membership Information

WRIPAC Membership is open to any public agency in the Western United States.  There's no fee to join WRIPAC. The membership process begins by attending meetings which are held throughout the year.  Your ongoing active participation in meetings and committee work maintains your membership.

As a new member, you will receive copies of all WRIPAC monographs, the Job Analysis manual and other pertinent information. Your agency can immediately begin enjoying the benefits of membership including test material exchange, reduced fees for training classes, and networking among members.

Maintaining your Membership...

Participation
Agency representatives are expected to be actively involved in a WRIPAC committee or in an administrative function that supports WRIPAC. (Active participation by all members is required in lieu of dues.)

Attendance
Following the initial two meetings, agency representatives are required to attend a minimum of two business meeting per fiscal year (as evidenced by signing the business meeting attendance roster). If you are not able to personally attend a meeting, you may send a substitute representative from your agency, however, you will get the most benefit from your membership if the same representative attends all or most of the meetings.

What if your membership lapses?

WRIPAC by-laws specify that any agency that does not attend one business meeting per fiscal year will be automatically dropped from membership. If this happens to your agency, you are welcome to re-apply when your agency is once again able to actively participate on a regular basis.

For additional membership information, contact our current President or complete a membership interest form.
